Problem.

Advanced hardware incorporating complex physics like electromagnetism can take decades to develop and cost millions, creating a bottleneck in access to specialized components for anything from missiles to satellites.

Failure to adopt a generative design approach will limit the competitiveness of engineering teams and the growth of companies, costing hundreds of billions. Traditional design software is not equipped for advanced use cases that involve multiple sub-parts, physics models and manufacturing methods. Something new needs to be built from the ground up.

Our Solution.

VXB originally developed our software internally to build new satellite propulsion systems rapidly with limited resources. The VXB team soon discovered that these algorithms had broad applicability to develop other advanced hardware like antennas, motors, and circuits. Recognizing the power of our software solution, we have pivoted to a subscription-based software product that engineering teams can use to achieve the same 100x development speed we did.

Our software platform takes a component’s initial design requirements plus the available manufacturing methods, parts, and materials. It then intelligently searches billions of configurations and creates unique ready-to-build designs, finding high-performance solutions that engineers would miss. The first use case for the software is for electromagnetic devices, including the successfully development of a Hall Effect thruster.

Capability & Market.

There is nothing else like our platform in the market. By continuously increasing the number of physics models in our software, our TAM will expand. Ultimately, component level generative design for integrated systems will unlock previously impossible designs across multiple high-tech industries with a combined value in the trillions.
