The motivation for Revella stems from a deeply personal experience. Watching my aunt struggle with type 2 diabetes, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of chronic diseases and the healthcare system's failure to provide personalized, comprehensive care. This experience revealed a critical gap: the need for a solution addressing the medical and human aspects of chronic disease management.
Today, healthcare, providers are losing an estimated $30 billion annually due to missed billing opportunities, stemming from incomplete documentation and coding errors. Up to 80% of claims are denied because of these issues, directly impacting provider revenue and, ultimately, patient care. Additionally, SDOH—such as lack of transportation, housing instability, and limited access to nutritious food—exacerbate healthcare gaps, particularly for chronically ill patients. These unaddressed social and medical factors contribute to preventable hospitalizations and negatively impact health outcomes.
