At Pramatra we have designed in-house an integrated photonics chip to generate entangled photons which will be distributed via satellites as secure quantum encryption keys, which are resilient against quantum attacks.
These are low earth orbit Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) satellites which will be able to distribute keys across countries and continents. These signals will be received by optical ground stations and then transmitted to hardware secure modules or HSMs in data centres and critical infrastructure sites. To be utilised for cryptographic applications.
